About this mod Machine translation
Overcome the judgment of Molag Bal and unleash deadly vampiric powers.
Welcome to my new work, Darkbringer. This is my port from the original version of SSE.
This mod features a new mini-questline for the Vampire Lord and adds some new features for both the mortal form and the Vampire Lord. This mod is 100% compatible with Sacrosant, Better Vampires, and almost all mods since there are almost no vanilla records.
To start the quest, just go to Volkihar Castle and drink at the altar of Molag Bal. Once you do this, you can use your new powers where mission markers guide you and defeat enemies.
that power
Bat Form: Transform yourself into a swarm of bats and fly freely. This is a bendable ability because bat travel is not possible in SSE, so there is no SSE initial collision when flying. The effect is almost the same, but since I'm not running the OnUpdate() function, my lights are lighter, which if I remember correctly, the bat travel uses to move a heading marker. Finally, you can even use both mods at the same time if you want it to not conflict, it's completely up to you.
Bat Teleportation: Transform yourself into a cloud of bats and teleport to the target location.
Bat Travel: Choose a destination and teleport yourself. You can also mark up to 6 places to teleport to them. Like Bat Form, the idea came from Bat Travel, idk how this was implemented, but it's probably the same functionality since it's just MoveTo(). There is now one marker and up to 6 markers can be called.
Dark Hollow: A beam of pure evil that causes damage over time.
Brutal Horror: Stare down your enemies.
Hideous Mist: Summons a cloud of mist that makes you and your allies stronger and enemies take damage.
Ominous Cage: Creates an impenetrable barrier around yourself until disabled. Enemies trapped inside will be intimidated.
Dark Aura: Once per day, turn into a shadow, resist 50% physical damage, and absorb the enemy's vitality.
Drain Flow: Absorbs a healthy beam of vampiric energy.
Shadow Pack: 3 Death Hounds hide in your shadow and they will aid you every time you enter combat. It is deformable.
Sinister Grasp: Deals magic damage and traps the enemy's soul. This effect increases damage for each soul trapped.
Soul Feast: If you are below 50% health and your soul is trapped by a sinister spell, you can heal yourself and consume your soul to do the same healing.
Shadow Armor: Resist 50% of physical and magical damage. A bit better than the Ebonyflesh spell, as 50 damage resistance is similar to 350 armor, but it also halves the spell power and duration of all hostile spells.
Dark Envoy: Summon the power of the night to create a solar eclipse, so you no longer have to worry about the sun. This has the same effect as an auriel bow with tainted arrows.
Coldharbour's Gate: A huge portal opens every day that hordes of molag bald can pass through. Large numbers of daedra will cross it and invade Tamriel. Almost everyone except the player is aggressive, so use with caution.
Hope you like it and don't forget to endorse it.
compatibility
As far as I know it should be almost 100% compatible with any vampire overhaul (tested with sacrosant + better vampires and 0 issues). It may not be compatible with the mod used to edit volkihar castle, but since the cave will still exist and the trigger inside the cave will start the quest, it should be fine too. There's also a copy of the Altar of Molag Bal (believed to be the one who outfitted the castle with mods) inside the cave, so you'll have access to those powers anyway.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
