About this mod Machine translation
Overview:
This mod is part of a "series" designed to make deadly artifacts more interesting. I'm just releasing them separately as a kind of Beta (though should play perfectly) at first, with a view to possibly tweaking them for eventual release.
Molag Bal's original mace sucked, well, really sucked. It's so lame, chances are you won't even remember what it's doing. This new design attempts to play into the idea of Molag Bal as a reaper of souls and lord of dominion. Basically, the mace starts out in a fragile dormant state, requiring you to kill something so that it can harvest the souls of sentient beings and awaken. Once awakened, it is very powerful, but requires you to kill things quickly, essentially going on a killing spree, otherwise it will revert to its weak dormant state.
Then what it does is:
The hammer usually exists in its default, ugly, rusty form. This form is terrible! 7 damage, slow attack speed, and no enchantments, this is pretty much the worst weapon in the game. However, if you are able to kill something with it (or just kill it with it), the mace will harvest the soul of the slain and use it to enter the awakened form.
In this awakened state, the weapon is very powerful: 36 damage, higher attack speed, power attacks will have an extra damage level based on how low the target's health is (the weaker or closer to death they are, the more extra damage the power attacks will do), and with this After killing an enemy in either form, your health, stamina, and mana are restored as a percentage of the target's maximum (so the larger the target, the more stats you'll restore), as well as increasing the maximum of those stats by minus 10 (capped at 100 per total bonus).
However! All of these effects only last 1 minute and 30 seconds after you last killed something, at which point if you can't feed the mace's hunger it will turn into its rusty, bad self.
Essentially, the mace supports the character's play style, and once the mace awakens, the mace will quickly rush from enemy to enemy, defeating weaker enemies and using their souls to enhance its own strength.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
