About this mod Machine translation
You can now pay Vex in the Thieves Guild to learn the location of the Valencia Stone.
describe
Like almost everyone else, I have never found all of the Valenzia stones and have no desire to look up their locations on Wiki. I also don't expect there to be a mod that simply points this information out to you without any consequences or payment. So I made my own modifications that pointed out the locations of these cursed stones, but at a cost.
After learning about Valenzia's stones from Vex, you can further introduce them to her. She will provide you with the location of a stone for 1000 gold. This will give you a quest marker leading to a stone. After you find the stone, Vex takes about a week to track the location of another stone, and then you can pay her again to learn the location of the next stone.
All dialogue is expressed using plain files.
Other things to note:
I've moved three stones that were blocked by non-Thieves Guild quests; the stones from Winterhold Academy, Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, and Proudspire Manor have been moved to nearby locations. The stones in Haarbinger's dormitory have also been moved so you don't have to lumber past two werewolves having an existential crisis.
It is recommended that you install the module before grabbing any of the four stones. Beyond that, the module can be installed at any time.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
