About this mod Machine translation
Added Crucible Blade from Doom 16. Complete with new special effects and spells.
Details: This was originally an add-on to the CROSS_Blades mod for Fallout 4, but it feels great to be brought to Skyrim. Crucible Blade's special effects have been completely reworked for Skyrim!
New to the Skyrim version are draw and sheath FX, as well as conjugation spells for summoning blades, and the Atronach forging recipe for permanently acquiring real items. New additions also include the ability to hurl flaming skulls with a powerful attack that scorches the ground as it passes by and explodes.
Spellbooks are added to selected court wizards and transposition trainers, with scripts added so they are not overwritten. The Atronach forge recipe can only be used once. Once summoned by the Atronach Forge, you have the real thing, nothing more reminiscent of it in Oblivion.
The fiery Skull Bomb explosion deals damage based on your conjugate perk, with increased damage for beginners or newbies. The normal-bound Crucible has the weakest projectile, the Mystic-bound has a slightly stronger bond, and the real-life Crucible has a noticeably stronger blast.
Balance: The Bound Crucible spell is a continuation of the Bind Weapon progression. It benefits from Mystic's binding perks and similar conjugation perks, further enhancing the structure of the tree. It is a skilled spell with the same power as a bound greataxe, but with the added ability to hurl exploding skulls. The true Crucible produced by the Forge of Atronach is much more powerful, comparable to the Ebony Greatsword, but is lighter and swings faster.
LORE: There is a book in the game that contains some lore, and the recipe is to use the Atronach Forge to summon the Permanent Crucible of Truth. It can be found in the temple of Mehrunes Dagon.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
