About this mod Machine translation
For those of us who don't like Dragonborn's charming staff or simply don't want to go to Neloth's house every time we want to do something enchanting
Similar to my "Transmute Ingot to Soul Gem" mod I am not the original creator of this file, but just modified it to be more in line with what I wanted for the alternative version (as well as compatibility with some of the mods I use), this file is in particular the "Craftable Staves- Dragonborn Addon" edited by paulhanna (link: dwemer metal is very rare, and staves are common) and changes the magic staff recipes to no longer require the "Enchanter" perk" while only knowing the required spells (the only exception) because those still need to complete specific tasks as they see fit, hence why I left it and basically left the only requirements for creating a stave being having the "Arcane Blacksmith Perks" from the Smeeren tree, knowing spells and using forge. Basically the only requirements for creating a stave are having the "Arcane Blacksmith Perk" from the Smeeren tree, knowing the spell and using Forge. Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
