About this mod Machine translation
Bugfixes, improvements and additions to ClefJ's Dragon Bridge.
Introduction:
I love ClefJ's Dragon Bridge and I can't imagine my game without the amazing architecture added by the original mod. The Dragon Bridge is leading to Skyrim's capital, the City of Solitude, so it should show this magnificence. ClefJ did a great job making Dragon Bridge look like the important location it should be. Unfortunately, however, ClefJ's mod does have some bugs and issues, and some features that I would classify as either lore-friendly or slightly unbalanced. My mod aims to solve these problems.
Require:
ClefJ's Dragon Bridge:
You have to install ClefJ's original mod first, the meshes and textures from it still need to be installed. This mod will add different meshes and textures and override/replace the esp.
Landscape Restoration Grass MODS:
If you already have a grass mod installed (such as Verdant), I highly recommend you use the Repair Landscape Grass mods (found in other files for 32-bit versions of Skyrim). Without this mod, Dragon Bridge would be an overgrown jungle, but this mod fixes that and makes the path overgrown.
What this Mod does:
This mod is basically a patch, but instead of taking up more space in your load order, it simply replaces the esp.
My changes:
Fixed the "falling off the ground/ground" bug when entering the Grocery Store, you will now have both feet firmly planted into the ground, as you would expect when entering any other door.
Attach physics to the overhanging tower. I noticed that he would often twitch here and there and end up curled up on the ground. I made a few changes to him (and put a note on the post) to keep things the same.
Replaced some functionality of Solstheim. Sorry, I know lanterns are a lot better than boring old Skyrim lanterns, but I couldn't resist the Nordic capital's Dunmer Architecture. So I changed the lantern back to a vanilla lantern and removed the Solstheim mushrooms.
Grocery stores will now be open from 8am to 8pm and will be locked outside of these hours. The AI package has been provided to the store owner so that she can stand at the counter during working hours and sleep in a sandbox at home after get off work, in bed from 12am-8am.
Fixed shopkeeper gray face bug. In the main version, she also received a makeover with modified assets (skin, hair, eyes, etc.) to make her blend more in with other NPC makeovers like Bijin. However, if you don't like the look, you can use an optional file that preserves ClefJ's original mod using only the original assets.
Added a new blacksmith to the outside of the Penitus Oculatus outpost. The area now houses a forge, a grindstone and a tanning rack as well as the original workbench. A new NPC named Salvatore will work as a blacksmith here from 8am to 8pm, and will sandbox and sleep in the outpost (he already has an extra bed) for a few hours. You will also find neat items (spindles, leather, weapons, armor) around the area, which will also be sold in his blacksmith's inventory.
Adjusted Navmesh to avoid NPCs walking into forges and the like.
Removed hostile-looking iron rods from outside inns and grocery stores. This is a personal preference choice, I know similar features can be found in other popular mods (such as JK's work), but I don't like them at all.
Added lighting and made the lights brighter in the General Goods Store and the "Player's Home" Dragon Thane tower. I found these rooms to be too dark when using ELFX.
The executioner's chest will now be stolen, and I don't like that the contents can be taken away, including the key to the tower. So if you want to loot and get players into the tower, you now have to steal stuff.
Decorated general merchandise store. I replaced the iron bars with a longer counter filled with flat items. You can actually buy these items - they will be on her purchase list and you will see them disappear from the counter. I also had the fireplace secured in the back room before it had mud spilled on the floor - …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
