About this mod Machine translation

Rebalanced food, alcohol, healing poultice, and nubs to provide a simple sense of consistency and progression, making PC usage more engaging

Food and narcotics have seen some improvements in Requiem - an old-school role-playing overhaul, although there are still inconsistencies in some cases, missing recipes, and many items lacking an engaging purpose.

Requiem - Classic Food and Drink (R-CFD), also known as the "I Can't Believe It's Possible to Buy Butter" mod, aims to address the above issues while trying to change the minimum amount required from Requiem Classic to achieve improved balance, immersion and (hopefully) fun.

Works with all Requiem versions from 1.7 to 3.x. FOOD

You can buy butter. You can make honey from honeycomb and water. Bottled milk is returned to its classic Requiem location for use in all stews, and you can now make milk from a jug of milk and salt.

In the recent classic Requiem, the duration of most food fans was significantly reduced from 7200 seconds (in Requiem 1.51-1.9.4.1) to 1800 seconds. Doing some reduction might go a long way in alleviating hunger pangs, but this ultimately brings the PCs up to 11 in how often they need to farm/slaughter/buy and regain decent food buffs in the early or mid-game.

R-CFD reduces the discomfort of regular eating by setting meal-sized food polishing duration to 3600 seconds.

In Alkali Requiem, Goulash inexplicably and uniquely provides the PC with a combined Fortify 50 Health buff and a 25 Fortify Cali Weight buff. No other stew or meat offers anything like it. Braided Bread also inexplicably provides the PC with a +10 Fortify Carry Weight buff. Other than beef stew, no other bread, cheese, meat, or other food has this buff. This makes Basic Requiem's food feel random overall, and there's little incentive to carry or eat most of it.

Most breads, cheeses, and deli meats are available in R-CFD with light to moderate rain Fortify’s Handling Weight for Lovers 3600s:

All breads and cheeses now weigh between +5 and +10, depending on their size.

Most cooked meats now bring fans of Fortify’s Graduation series to hearty ones. For example, this is due to less +5 for salmon steak, a modest +15 for venison chop, and significantly more mammoth steak. Many deli meats have rich flavor and rich flavor, for those of you who carry the book "Uncommon Taste" in your PC's inventory.

Most meat-based stews in R-CFD are offered in Fortify's Cary Weigh Ton Lovers 3600s.

Performance

The aforementioned food-based buffs don't stack with themselves individually, so you're free to eat foods and enjoy the different buffs from different foods without having two foods with the same buff stack on each other. In short, this mod doesn't make the OP eat a lot quickly.

PCs are now more incentivized to choose between different balanced options of stews, charcuterie, bread and cheese depending on the situation, and to have a balanced diet that combines different lovers between different food groups.

To improve food continuity, most fruits, vegetables and water now enhance physical strength, while tomatoes enhance Magicka's regenerative abilities. Uncooked vegetables provide 1800 seconds of slight strengthening. Cooked vegetables provide a moderate amount of Enhanced Stamina, while vegetable soup provides a maximum of 3600 seconds of Enhanced Stamina or Stamina.

A gourmet cooking technician is integrated into the R-CFD. This requires having a copy of the book "Uncommon Flavors" in the PC's inventory as a recipe reference to get more out of the Crock Pot, providing gourmet cooking options. This solves a frequent complaint from players that food in Basic Requiem is too expensive compared to the cost of purchasing a Whiterun player house. Most vendors do not sell gourmet food, so PCs will no longer see extremely high prices for food sold by NPCs.

Delicious variations include wild boar, beef, chicken, lamb shank, dolphin, mud crab legs, pheasant, rabbit fish, salmon, venison, tomato …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
