About this mod Machine translation
This mod adds a soul trap dagger and some black soul gems to the mage prisoners at Helgen Keep to get the enchanted character started early.
I love playing Enchanter (some people call me Tim), but early in the game your morph skill is too low to cast Soul Trap, so it's hard to find Soul Trap weapons.
So to celebrate Skyrim's 8th anniversary I've released this simple mod in the workshop to add to it now. It adds a Soul Trap Dagger and some black soul gems to the mage prisoner at Helgen Keep. I leave it to his imagination where he hides them from his kidnappers. There are other Black Soul Gems hidden elsewhere. Finally, I added another Iron Dagger with a custom enchantment - Soul Trap, Absorb Health and Absorb Stamina - elsewhere in Helgen Keep. In my opinion, this combination is the ultimate melee weapon enchantment. See the screenshot for location tips. At low levels, you'll want to mark your target with a Soul Trap weapon and then kill him or her with something else so you don't drain its charge too quickly. For this reason, I gave Soul Trap Dagger a long time.
You can place all of these items in or in front of the prison room so you can harvest a lot of souls from the imperialists who are debating whether to wait for General Touluris and give you a head start on your Charming skills. Basically, you're stopping some bad guys from reaching Sovngarde so you can use the glowing device.
This mod pairs well with BIG: Soul Gem Mining and a nice Chianti.
This mod may conflict with other mods that add content from Helgen Keep to certain containers. If you don't want to wait until Whiterun for a charming table, look across the river from the Guardian Stones to the basement of the Fennel house.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
