About this mod Machine translation
Character Behavior Plus is a behavior/animation module that enables new actions with third-person animation enhancements. New moves include mounts, underwater combat, jump attacks, dual-wield blocks, staggered blocks, dodges, hold and release power attacks, player head tracking, low block animations, and dummy attacks.
New actions:
Underwater combat:
Tired of slithers making you into their fist? Or just want to go fishing with a dagger? With this mod installed, you can now draw weapons/magics into water, draw weapons/magics while underwater (use the sneak key to draw while underwater), and attack/throw/shout while underwater. You can also block or strike. Bows, crossbows, torches, and ritual spells are exceptions. You also cannot attack with your left hand while underwater.
Air attack:
Want to ambush your prey from above? Or do you need to jump arrows or shoot fireballs at targets or from behind cover? You can now.
Fixed casting:
Are you annoyed that your character can handle a battle ax just fine while mounted, but can't cast any spells? Throw fireballs or summon your own Dadric Waraxe while mounted. Easily flank enemy mages while allowing them to gain access from horseback. Note that you can only cast from the right hand.
Double windshield: tired of it
Unable to defend while dual wielding? No more, click both mouse buttons (or, if using a controller, press the left and right triggers simultaneously), and hold both buttons down to remain blocked. Note that you cannot hit hard while in this state, and this will override the dual use attack (cross attack).
Blocks when paired:
While players can do this in normal Skyrim, NPCs cannot, and when using a mod that staggers actors on every hit, they can easily get staggered. This should help alleviate the problem. The player now uses the same staggered state as NPCs, and NPCs now have smoother animation blending.
Attacks to be blocked:
Do you and your enemy attack at the same time? Attempting to block during a shorter forward swing interval of the weapon will now eliminate the attack and transition to blocking quickly and smoothly, preventing injury.
avoid
Looking for responsive dodge with fixed left dodge displacement? Press the sneak key while moving and wielding a weapon or magic to duck in the direction of movement. You can also rotate while dodging, allowing you to dodge left and right and move slightly forward.
Delay
Forward Attack: Hold down the attack button to delay your forward attack, and release when you're about to strike. Starting with version 2.1.0, you can move in any direction while holding down the attack stance. In this state, you can also cast with your left hand!
3RD personal animation enhancements:
Player tracking:
Looking for unscripted player head tracking? It is now part of this mod. Note that it only works if the player has no weapons or magic ready and is still somewhat inconsistent at the moment.

Attacks and Spells: Notice how in normal Skyrim attacks you always "aim" directly in third person? With this mod, players and NPCs will correctly target their attacks/magic.
UN-NOCK ARROW:
Now, when canceling a bow attack, your character will unhook their arrow and put it back into their quiver (a bit glitchy at the moment).
Moves slowly when attacking:
One of the problems with the vanilla game is that NPCs can move too fast when attacking, causing them to slide along the ground. This also makes dodging much less effective as they can track you mid-attack. NPCs now move as fast as they draw their bow when attacking.
Stop spinning during attack:
Another problem is that the NPC can rotate during every phase of normal attacks and power attacks, making them nearly impossible to dodge (especially forward power attacks). Now, once the NPC reaches the weapon swing portion of an attack, the rotation stops until the attack window for the next attack is triggered. This also applies to normal attacks, albeit within a smaller time frame (betwee …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
