About this mod Machine translation

This little mod allows you to pick up any Bedroll or Bear Trap you find in the world and reuse them at will using the Campfire system. This also allows you to craft them.

describe

You can now pick up any Bedroll or Bear Trap you find in the world.

You can use the campfire frame to lay them down and select them however you want.

Bedrolls and Bear Traps are not allowed in public places (i.e. you can leave them here but it will be considered a crime).

Bedding can be crafted on the Tanning Rack or via Campfire Tour, which crafts 2 Fur Boards and 2 Leathers.

The bear trap can be crafted at the forge or via Campfire's tour crafting for 2 iron ingots.

Bedroll - Weight: 5 - Value -: 30

Bear Trap - Weight: 2 - Value: 35

Installation and prerequisites

Make sure Campfire is installed, then install it normally.

Compatibility and known issues

  • If something doesn't work, use TES55Edit to check for potential conflicts with mods editing vanilla bedrolls/beartraps. Changes to keywords and Papyrus VM adapters need to be forwarded.
  • Be able to steal your own sheets and reuse them freely.
  • Deleting a sheet or trap directly from your inventory using R will place a useless simili item in the world.

Modder

ressource This script is based on the original Chesko droppable project script, but only "optional parts" can be reused. It allows you to select any furniture/activator with attached scripts and add miscellaneous items to your inventory.

Useful if there are a lot of different items in the world that you want to choose from, but really they should be the same (sheets and their 7 marked variations...)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
