About this mod Machine translation
Added strength indicators for weapons and armor. You cannot equip equipment that weighs more than your current strength. Increase strength through the use of weapons and armor
IMPORTANT NOTE: Re-saving is highly recommended. While Burden of Skyrim works with existing games, you'll most likely be out of gear and unable to use your favorite device unless you're strong enough to use it again.
Overview
Isn't it surprising how Dragonborn can instantly use any device in the game while on a prison van? This mod adds another level of progression in the form of a strength meter. The initial strength only allows the use of the lightest weapons and armor, but the strength can be increased through the use of equipment. This will unlock heavier equipment. The default growth rate is slow, so it won't be too easy to play the game on a powerful device.
detail
When starting this mod, Dragonborn will get the following initial strength values, which correspond to the respective equipment weight:
Melee weapons and bows: 9.1 weight
Helmet: 2.1 weight
Breastplate: 6.1 weight
Handguard: 2.1 weight
Boots: 2.1 weight
Shield: 4.1 weight
The strength of weapons and armor has its own rate of increase. This growth rate is configurable in the MCM and represents the fraction of weight units added to the appropriate strength metric when the device is used. Additionally, the usage threshold can be configured as the number of weight units a player can equip above the current strength limit, but the speed and damage penalties for each piece of equipment will be higher than the maximum weight of its slot.
If a device is not used, the intensity reduction rules will apply to the device slot if the "Toggle intensity reduction" option is enabled. Strength will shrink each game day, gaining approximately 1 unit of weight every 30 days.
Use the "Toggle Weight MCM" option to automatically calculate growth rate based on your character's weight. These auto-spawn rates are higher at lower weights and lower at higher weights, due to the idea that weaker characters will gain strength faster while stronger characters will encounter diminishing returns.
The "usage" of the device is as follows:
Melee weapons gain increased strength when wielded in or out of combat.
Bow strength increases when firing at full range, in or out of combat.
Armor strength increases when taking unimpeded hits or traveling to different locations.
Shield strength increases when being blocked by being hit or traveling to a different location.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
