About this mod Machine translation

Adds 44 unique items with pros and cons to the world of Requiem - a role-playing overhaul. Designed to promote diversity in play, especially unorthodox builds and behaviors, and exploration.

Introduction:

My favorite effect in Skyrim is the Atronach stone. It has powerful positive effects, but also quite powerful disadvantages. It makes the build use it immediately, which is noticeably different than not using the build, and the build definition is one of my favorites with RPGs in general (and Requiem in particular).

Therefore, I set out to create a series of artifacts that had the following effect: powerful advantages, but relatively powerful disadvantages. The goal is to provide alternatives to the "best" by making the "best" less about the high end of the linear power spectrum and more about context and build specificity. I think this is highly compatible with the ideals of Requiem.

All of these items are placed by hand around the world. No locations are spoiled in this description. The location of each project is provided in the readme file (Documentation section).

Some of them are in strategic locations in important missions. Some of these guys will be obvious to Old Requiem or Skyrim players from their names and descriptions. Some of them are hidden in random, out-of-the-way places and are almost impossible to find without a readme file.

None of these projects have strong gaming features. The power level is between level 1 enchanted equipment and non-Dadric campaign equipment, lower than Requiem's Dedric artifacts.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
