About this mod Machine translation
The home of a true adventurer! ...or a thief, a treasure hunter, an outlaw, or a dragon's nest! Nestled comfortably in the warm volcanic rock beneath Eastmarch's Bonestrown Crest, Bonestrown Crypt was designed to be aesthetically true to the look of the "Nord Ruins" without the need for a maze. Fully featured, but really meant for Skyrim.

Bonestrown Crypt is a mid-sized Nord ruins player house optimized for everyday use and easy to immerse in, with a layout that's easy to navigate. It's beginner-friendly but offers all the amenities you'd want from Dragonborn and is fully functional.
Its features include support for Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions (requires the above mod for this, room for 6 children), a room for up to 4 followers, and all crafting stations (except spider machines). There is also a library, display room, vault, kitchen, dining room, and blacksmith, as well as custom displays for your Daedric artifacts, bug jars, paragons, dragon claws, dragon masks, black books, and more. There is also a small, working farm (with fire growler) and natural hot spring pools. It's all in one unit, no loading screens. For flavor and fairness, it requires 5,000 gold coins and a little adventure to claim, and there's a journal that explains the many stories of the catacombs. As part of the adventure, it also introduces a completely submerged dungeon to explore. Despite all the features, I've tried my best to make the mod as true to the Skyrim feel as possible.
History: I wanted a house that fit my treasure hunter/adventurer character, but couldn't find any "Norse Crypt" houses that I really liked - so I made my own! I like houses that are compact, warm, and bright, rather than monsters spread out with fifty loading doors and seventeen portals, but Nordic ruins don't usually keep to "tiny" designs. As a result, I got a centralized layout with little wings - big, but not ridiculous, and easy to roam around. I wanted a feel that seemed right for Skyrim, and hopefully I've succeeded in achieving the relatively immersive gameplay that is typical of vanilla games.
I have no current plans to make an SSE version, except for some reason that probably won't be announced.
- Dozens of hand-placed apples.
Custom named and designed stores, Black Books and Daedric displays, Dragon Masks and Claws displays, mannequins, plaques and shelves, all using default assets so everything fits in with Skyrim's basic aesthetic. See the full list below.
-(Usually) Set up an appropriate place on the dining table. I learned that the fork is on the left. You can't dine in a desecrated basement without the right location setting. The moment someone sits on the bench, everything flies, so enjoy it while it lasts. #skyrimphysics (Or use the Jaxonz locator to try and keep everything safely locked until the dirty minions all use /tableflip.)
- Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions support for six children, plus a room with four beds for followers. Because taking your kids to the crypts of Draenor beneath the dragon's lair is just good parenting.
-A restaurant designed when you are hungry. I spent too much time setting out too much food. Did I mention this?
-The solemn and appropriate lights are always present, rather than flashing from state to state like confused politicians.
- All crafting stations except Spider Crafter. Enchanting, Alchemy, Enchanting Enchanter, Cooking Pot, Hearth Oven, Smelter, (Sky) Forge, Workbench, Whetstone, Tanning Rack.
-Hand-placed debris, cobwebs, damaged stones, plants, small bugs, large bugs and potted plants.
-A gourd.
- Ventilated forge room.
-Speaking of mannequins, for some reason they sometimes don't have proper lighting until you save …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
