About this mod Machine translation
Added different species of bison to Skyrim.
Bison are a large species of cattle and one of the largest land animals that lives in Skyrim, along with mammoths. They are broad and muscular, with a large hump and a shaggy coat of long hair. Bison are nomadic herders and feed in herds, with the average herd size being 8-12 bison, with larger species often traveling in smaller herds. Bison usually keep to themselves unless they feel threatened, such as a predator walking near the herd, in which case the entire herd will attack the enemy to protect the calf.
There are 5 variations of bison;
North American bison latifrons - the largest bison species, live on tundra plains where they live in smaller herds.
Steppe bison - Another large bison species that lives on the tundra plains.
Prairie Steppe - A large subspecies of steppe bison adapted to life in snowy forests and some frozen wastelands.
Bison Plains - The most common bison species, they live in the Tundra Plains and Eastmarch.
Visent - Another common species of bison, they are lighter than plains bison, but taller. They live in woodlands that are not covered by snow, such as Rift Valley and Forkas Wilderness.
They use custom skeletons and have custom loot and sounds. There are no level lists, they are all placed by hand, so it should be compatible with any creature that uses level lists.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
