For those who thought the original was too small, this mod makes the shields in Skyrim larger or thinner.

This mod changes the mesh of shields in Skyrim to be larger.

It also changes the position of shields in the world to allow for the new dimensions.

When playing in first person, the screen is almost always filled with the shield you want to use,

So I recommend this mode for third person cameras.

I think the chitin shield is big enough so it hasn't moved.

If you own the Dragonborn DLC or Dawnguard DLC, don't forget to install the patch.

Now, if you own both DLCs, you can download the larger Shield Legends Edition.

24/03/2018 Greater Shield version 1.01 changes:

I fixed a bug in over-shielding grids that caused the game to crash. It should no longer crash. The legendary version of this mod has been fixed.

Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
