About this mod Machine translation
This mod adds a special vampire weapon (it doesn't have to be a vampire in order to use it), which can be found by completing a series of mini-quests.
Vampire attacks intensify in "Skyrim" and villagers are afraid to leave their homes at night. Travelers dare not leave the main roads and rarely continue their journey after sunset. The Dawnguard is working to help push back the darkness and make Skyrim a safer place, but there are rumors that Volkihar is gaining power and seeking revenge.
In the dark hotels of all properties, people are talking about strange disappearances. They speak of a guard who found a ragtag man outside the walls of Markarth; he was half mad and suffering from frostbite, but before he died he muttered about a vampire who tortured him and devised disgusting experiments. The bard sang from two wounded men who had survived an ambush in the mountains at dawn against a group of guards; the men swore their comrades had been slain by a dark spell they had never seen before. If the vampires of Skyrim are developing new weapons to destroy the Dawnguard, how can Yars hope to protect the group from the undead? Will you discover this new threat before terror strikes the deadly race, or will you try to use this new weapon to win and destroy?
Vampire's best weapons have been added with several new (and hidden) locations in Skyrim. A vampire's lair, laboratory, forge or ruined fortress will give players access to new materials, new weapons and new spells they have never seen before.
BVW is more than just a set of weapons...it's also a small mission that must be complex and mysterious. You don't need to be a vampire to use these weapons. The author wanted this mod to be more mysterious and recall the excitement of opening new locations so he didn't become markers on the map showing exactly where to go. You need to find clues everywhere that suggest where you can go. But there are location markers on the map so you'll know when you're nearby.
Please try using the mod without looking at the prompts, using console commands or posting spoilers on the forum - it will be more enjoyable if people try to follow the prompts themselves. If you need help, the readme file provides some tips.
All locations have a navmesh and come with their own challenges and pitfalls. Some locations can serve as very simple player houses if you want the storage to be secure and the unit never to be reset. The weapon has a spell that helps the vampire character (and mortals, if they choose) become more powerful. All weapons have been re-textured to make them look more unique. All weapons can be tempered and upgraded at the whetstone or workbench.
compatibility:
This mod is compatible with all other mods for Vampire.
All materials are independent and not dependent on vampires, vampire races, etc. scenarios.
This mod adds four new interiors with their inputs connected to (mostly) remote locations in Skyrim.
Better vampire weapons edit the following outer cells: (-18,-19), (-6,-3), (19,26) and (-9,-21)
The authors tested this model with extended towns and cities (one of the inputs) and it did not conflict.
By agreement with the author, I only publish translations. To work, you need an original mod.
Require:
Skyrim 1.9.32.0.8
Dawnguard
+ original mod
Installation: Standard
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
