This also changes the smith's bonus to Ancient Knowledge abilities from 15% to 25%.
The second file is called "Updated Skyrim - Game settings.esp" and contains a comparison of each level's xp requirements table and health when leveling up, modifications to magicians and stamina, improved weapon and shield strike values, increasing max armor damage reduction to 90% and disabling retention changes for upgrades. To compensate for this in the console with the game open, type "player.forceav carry weight <the one you want, mine was 5000>" to set the retention limit to the desired value.
I made the change for a more "elegant" game, but this can be disabled by going to Create Kit -> Open -> (select my mod) ->
Click on details -> select the required variable -> press Delete and confirm.
All changes are for balance purposes. All changes list are included in the mod.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
