Performance
This mod provides dense grass while maintaining good performance, but if you want better performance you can always adjust the grass density to be lower.
- Find your Skyrim.ini
- Look for iMinGrassSize = xx and set it to a different value. I use 60, but higher values = more fps, less density, lower values = less fps, higher density (for potato PCs you can even go as high as 100, but I wouldn't recommend going below 40 for even the most powerful rigs.
- Save and exit in .ini
I personally have an RTX 2060 card and I get 60fps at 60 density - can be used as a guide if you want to do this
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
