About this mod Machine translation

Additional customization options have been added for Argonian and Khajiit characters to provide a more unique feel. Available in 54 topcoats and 101 body paints to suit the beast race (Agon and Hargit). Includes Facepaint as Warpaint and Face paint. Additionally, foot and hand paints are now also available.

  • Overview -

I always wish there were more options to customize the physical appearance of Khajiit and Argonian to give the characters more variety than their skin tones allow. This mod aims to add more customization options and topcoats to Khajiit and Argonian characters in the form of Body Paint. Hopefully you'll find them useful for adding some custom characters. These paints will suit both genders and look best in the competition associated with that paint. Paints can be found under the Makeup, Body Paint, and Face Paint sections of RaceMenu. The paintings added by this mod can be found via the Prefix BRB to help organize them, and specify variations.

  • Require -

Requires RaceMenu (and extension SKSE)

  • Install -

Extract the contents of 7Zip and move it to the Skyrim Data folder, or install it using the Mod Manager.

You should then be able to access Body Painting via the RaceMenu under Makeup, Body Painting, and Face Painting.

If you want to install on a previous version, just replace them all when asked.

--- If you do not intend to use Face Paint with the risk of crashing, ignore the following section and install the SKSE makeup configuration if you have not already set it up to allow the use of shading masks at higher resolutions than 256x256. Otherwise, set iTintTextureResolution = 2048 in SKSE.ini. (If you don't have this file, download the SKSE makeup configs from the main file, which is preset for 2048x2048 textures.) ---

  • Use face paint -

In order to have the same sharpness, some of the paint's display in the picture is disabled by default due to game crashes, so you need to change the NiOverride Config under Face Paint and set iSpellOverlays to 1 and have iNumOverlays set to 1 or greater.

Here is an example of the configuration with the Coverage/Faces section enabled.

---In Skyrim/Data/SKSE/Plugins/nioverride.ini

[Overlays]

bEnableFaceOverlays = 1; Default [0]

[Overlays/Face]; "Face[Ovl#]" and "Face[SOvl#]"; OK there should be

How many iNumOverlays = 3; default[3]

iSpellOverlays = 1; Default value[0]

***Note - This will cause the game to crash loading the game unit on a decapitated body, so if you are going to use face paint, make sure you have some way to prevent decapitation, such as a VioLens ***

  • uninstall -

Delete or disable the .esp in the data folder and the content should no longer appear in the game. To remove textures, the folder Data\textures\actors\character\Overlays\BRB should be deleted in the Skyrim directory.

Otherwise, if you used Mod Manager to install, you can uninstall via Mod Manager.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
