Battle Cry Companion Fix

About this mod Machine translation
Warcry target conditions fixed and adjusted. Active companions will no longer fear, and monsters and undead will flee.
“ Ihr seid verfluchte hunde!”

For a once-a-day racial ability that's designed to strike fear into your enemies, Nord Battle Cry doesn't do a great job. Usually it just destroys your minions, is ignored by most monsters in practical situations (except for races and beasts that are actually playable with almost everything), and generally causes the wrong type of trouble. The aim here is to make some tweaks in the hope of having a reliable "get off" button that is actually useful, feels good to use, and won't make you regret every time you try to use Breton without scrolling.
Target conditions have been modified to include everything except actively recruited companions/classes, machines, and dragons.
Fear effects and staggered areas have been increased.
The addition of Eldritch Horror™ brings new sound effects, as Bethesda's sound effects just sound like some people at a baseball game.
The feature will still fear neutral and/or co-attacked targets and I still can't find a workaround, but functionality and usefulness has improved.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
