Basic location of damage
[Require]
Skyrim 1.9.32.08 or higher
SKSE 1.7.3 or higher
[illustrate]
Adds a lightweight angle and position based damage system with the following hit locations:
Head: Has a high chance of instant kill against NPCs, depending on the weapon, unless wearing armor. (can be disabled)
Neck: Kill instantly or bleed on NPC.
Torso - Front/Rear/Side: Side strikes are the most effective targets on the torso against armored opponents.
Left arm: Equipped
Chance to disarm shield when using weapon Right arm: With weapon
Remove timing of leg jump or stun, depending on weapon used and armor worn
Back Knees: Vulnerable to injury even when fully armored. A successful hit results in fatal bleeding.
Hits at the hit location will have varying levels of effect, depending on the following factors:
-Weapons used-
Size and quality of opponent -
Whether the target is wearing armor at that location
-Armor level
-Attack power
Menu spells come with the following options:
-Ability to adjust positional damage levels-
Disable/enable instant kills with unarmored headshots.
-Disable/enable for player or
NPC Positional Damage Effects - Disable/Enable Off-Hit Damage Reduction - Reduces the player's base weapon damage so that only positional hits have significant impact
-disable/enable disarmed item drops - To address savegame bloat concerns, disarmed items will simply be unequipped from the NPC. (Starting from version 1.5)
[Additional information/Known issues]
-Currently, positional damage will not affect mounted NPCs, ghosts, dwarf automations, and other creatures that cannot be revived, such as dragons, drakes, etc. - May notice delayed effects in large mod battle scenes if many demanding scripts are running simultaneously.
-On rare occasions, you may encounter an NPC that appears to be immune to positional damage. I haven't been able to fully resolve this issue, so I set up a detection method that detects when this occurs and removes the hit damage reduction on the affected NPC (if enabled).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
