The Book of Faces is my collection of presets for RaceMenu. The Vanilla Presets Upgrade is an attempt to take existing vanilla Skyrim presets and transform them into something more diverse and realistic. Yes, even elves! Some presets may be nearly identical, while some will be more unique, depending on how similar they are to one of the previous presets, and how much I think the changes will improve those presets. See pictures for comparison. The default is faces only! To modify the bodywork you have to learn more about it and the author, which you can find here.
The faces I'm creating are first and foremost interesting and hopefully unique. Whether they are beautiful or not, comes second to it, especially since beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everyone has different tastes. My main goal is to stay away from traditional classical beauty standards (as seen on current magazine covers, with their "already seen a thousand times" faces). That said, even so, some of them may end up being bland and classic, especially as I'm going to stick to the original presets as much as possible.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
