About this mod Machine translation

A lightweight death mod with many features customizable in the MCM, including damage, item loss chance, lives, and permanent casualties. No more saving scum and facing the consequences of failure like a true Nord...or any race.

All the difficulty and RPG mods in the world mean nothing if you just reload the save and try again. This is a fair and simple mod that allows you to play gloriously and face the consequences of your imminent death. All options can be adjusted at any time in MCM.

Current functionality

Sleep 4+ hours to set your spawn point.

Use a spell to lock the spawn point to your location. Can double as a mark and recall spell since you can return without dying.

Clear experience about the next death skill.

Select the percentage of gold and item loss on death. Belethor mysteriously discovers and sells your lost items.

You can choose between two damage systems that can be restored through upgrades.

Simple damage will debuff H/M/S by 25 points on death.

Serious Damage is borrowed from Wildcat, only slightly different.

Optional permadeath option with customizable lifecycle.

Whether alive or not, there is a chance of permanent death.

Planned features

Support followers. Death is only an option after all your minions have been defeated.

Adjusted the advanced damage system to be more balanced.

More options to customize the damage system.

User suggestions.

Bugs/Compatibility

You should turn off death moves for players. The player's death action will not cause any damage.

Dying in the same cell as the spawn point will cause you to respawn on the spot. Please set up spawn points in hotels or homes rather than in dungeons.

Should be compatible with mods that make you temporarily an essential "extra life".

Compatible with everything else on Nirn.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
