About this mod Machine translation

Added Arsinoitherium to Skyrim.

Arsinoitherium is a large two-horned ancient rhinoceros-like creature that has existed since the dawn of time. Distant relatives of mammoths and hawks. They are kept warm by a thick layer of fat and have a low surface area compared to the volume of fat to keep themselves warm. They also have other body mechanisms to keep themselves warm in the same way that chilblain spiders keep themselves cold-resistant.

Two populations of arsenic can be found in Skyrim, one in Hjaalmarch and the other in the geyser fields of Eastmarch. There was another population at Elswell, but how these people crossed Providence still puzzles scholars to this day. Arsinoitherium lives a solitary life and protects its territory, and a charge from this three-ton beast can be fatal if it gets in its way.

Last but not least, they also use custom sounds and loot. enjoy your meal!

PS: Yes, I know they are not adapted to living in cold environments because they live in warm climates, but that doesn't mean I won't try to provide a killer explanation for them. I need these animals to make a Hircine mod idea inspired by Ark Survival Evolved. But I don't want to make these creatures exclusive to the mod, as that would attract people who have to wait for the creatures to be completed. In the unlikely event that it never gets finished, I'll still have these individual creature mods for you guys to enjoy.

Many thanks to RoboBirdie for the meshes and textures of Arsinoitherium and to Rexy Montero for the creature sounds.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
