About this mod Machine translation
Limit the use and collection of armor/clothing in the game
This is my first MOD! If you want to use it or patch it that's fine. I just want to understand how the script works. This has not been tested extensively and there may be more efficient ways to do this. At some point I'd like to add an MCM menu to it, also just for practice but right now everything is hardcoded. If you don't want to offer constructive criticism, I always appreciate it, but know that requests for features or changes may not be answered as this is a very rare side project.
This actually only works for casters now because I hardcoded it to prevent all armor from being used, which is what I would choose if I got the MCM menu. In short, this does require your gear, or after I add armor to it, to make it a forger. No more finding a variety of armor and clothing from bad guys.
There are four main things:
- Prevents equipping light or heavy armor
- Prevent looting of armor or clothing from corpses (wanted to add a tag to make it unwearable so you can still break it down, but just destroy it now)
-Prevents equipping armor or clothing during combat (because that's just stupid)
- Randomly break a piece of armor or clothing when hit by an enemy (want to make it something durable)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
