About this mod Machine translation
While wandering the lonely places of Solstheim, the Dragonborn discovered a mysterious bow with an otherworldly design.
"Near the lonely icy coast lies an otherworldly man-made creation of otherworldly ice that protects ancient
of Nords. "This mod adds a reshaped Predator bow to the game Crysis 3, which I believe was originally ripped and ported to Skyrim by the author under the nickname "Toxa01", a user who was banned for ripping, porting, and distributing content from other games. This made me hesitant to upload this mod, however, seeing that the mod "Compound Bow Collection" also contains this Predator bow but with obvious modifications made me feel comfortable uploading it.
The model and textures are from a mod I found on "modtype.doorblog" about a year ago and I found it by chance in a mod backup folder recently after not being able to find them anywhere on the internet. All download links for the bow have expired. (I'm lucky).
Well, even though the original author Toxa01 was banned, they still did a great job porting this bow to Skyrim and deserve credit.
I resized the bow to the Stalhrim design, resized it slightly, and removed the ammo container/loader because it was unnecessary, archers in Skyrim already have quivers, but I couldn't remove the ammo container accessory base and stabilizer/bipod because those were tied to other important parts of the bow. Also, if I export the model to edit it in Blender, I will have to skin and weight it again before re-importing it into nifskope, unfortunately I lack the skinning and weighting skills.
The bow has a unique firing sound, as heard in Crysis 3.
It cannot be processed and can only be found somewhere in Solstheim by solving this (poorly written) riddle:
"Near the lonely icy shore lies an otherworldly artifact formed from otherworldly ice that protects the ancient Northmen"
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
