RUSTIC FURNITURE is a high-resolution reimagining of Skyrim's noble furniture and tall cabinets. Available in 4K and 2K resolutions. Available in version with SMIM Noble Chair texture
RUSTIC FURNITURE is another entry in my series of "rustic" retextures of Skyrim. The aristocratic furniture textures include 3 sets of main textures (color + normal map) and a set of secondary aristocratic basin textures. There are over 50 meshes in the "noble" folder, so these three main textures are responsible for many of the furniture objects in the game. Everything from four poster beds to banquet tables, bookcases, dressers, chairs, wardrobes, shelves and room dividers. Newly added are "high boobs" which have never been included in the high resolution pack textures.
Update: A new version available to SMIM users containing the SMIM Noble Chair texture.
Since those three textures cover so many objects, and Bethesda's meshes often only use a small portion of a texture, even the 2K size of Bethesda's high-resolution wrap textures lack a lot of detail in the game. I think it's necessary to work in 4K in order to inject enough detail into the game models. Since my 2K textures have been downscaled from the 4K original images, they still retain a lot of detail for those who can't handle 4K textures in their setup. I worked hard to fill as much detail into the textures as possible, giving them a rustic look with pronounced wood grain and hammered metal trim.
Unfortunately, the current state of my setup doesn't work properly, so I can't take many screenshots of the textures in the game. I believe I have enough images to give people a clear idea of what they look like, even with the limited number of models I cover.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
