Alteration Sound Replacement

About this mod Machine translation
Use a new Mod to replace most of the Alteration sound effects. Although it is different from the original, the theme remains the same. Work in progress, more to come soon (once I find out where they are hidden in the BSA!)
Ambitious project to replace all spelling sounds in Skyrim with Foley effects. The only trouble is trying to find all of them in the BSA file. For the effects in the video, a variety of props were used to record each piece: the light plastic on the packaging box heard in most of the effects is reminiscent of a beautiful crisp; a fork pushed to the edge of an iron spatula; breathing through a straw by blowing into a glass of water. Wear the shirt from both sides to get a heartbeat in "Detect Life" and inhale and exhale for mind movement.
Installation guide:
- Download and unzip Alterationsound.zip
- Nest the folder into the Skyrim Sound folder, usually found in Steam Games/steamapps/common/skyrim/data/Sound. 3. You should be fine!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
