About this mod Machine translation

A mod that always gives Alchemy a little push while respecting the lore and keeping the game balanced.

Two brand new ingredients, Alchemy skill tree rework, potency changes, Pistacia chinensis root that is suitable for sale without disrupting game balance, and more.

The ultimate assassin experience

Have you ever wondered why Alchemy is so powerful compared to Magic and Smithing? Have you ever wanted to have a mod that would give it a little boost while respecting the lore and keeping the game balanced? Well, you've come to the right place. This is exactly what I've been trying out for Alchemy Revival - the ultimate assassin experience.

Without further ado, here are the mod specs for this overhaul. All feedback welcome!

feature:

Gallingen believes that its effectiveness has dropped by 75%, but is still far from the most potent poison in the game.

Now some traders sell Jarrin roots in shady places at expensive prices.

[5 merchants in total, 7 merchants if two special requirements are met]

NOTE: Be careful when handling expensive items like Jarrin Root. Bethesda still hasn't fixed its deep-seated, hard-coded bug that causes merchants to glitch if they have 32,000 or more in their inventory. This is due to the data format Bethesda uses for this type of information. You can solve this problem using this SKSE plugin, otherwise be careful not to let merchants get more than 32,000 gold tips!

Two new alchemical ingredients have been added:

Harrada Root, a plant native to the Forgotten Lands that grows both outdoors and in caves.

Kwama Glands, harvested from the insectoid creature of the same name in Morrowind.

These are imported from outside Skyrim and can be found at certain merchants' stalls. Their effects are what you discover.

The Poison perk brand poison is 35% more effective.

The Focused Poison perk allows you to make better textured poison so it stays on your weapon for a while

(Three levels: 2, 3 and 5 matches in a row).

If you mix a potion that restores health, magicka, or stamina, the healer gives you a 35% bonus.

The Alchemist's perk now allows you to create 25% stronger potions at each level, increasing to 125% at level 5. (Instead of the previous 20% per level).

The ultimate alchemy perk, Purity, now has a second level, increasing the potency of all potions by 25%

When you reach level 100 and invest a perk point in a tree

The Stealth tree's Archery Perkins have been updated, with Bow Sneak Attack giving an exponential damage bonus.

You can invest up to 5 feat points in this feat, which will cause up to 5x the damage when performing a stealth shot.

Lightweight buffs can be offset by a large investment in perk points. (Previously: 1 perk point dealt 3 points of damage)

"Oh my gosh, how do I install it?"

This mod can be installed like any other Skyrim mod. Just paste the ESP file in the Data folder to set it up.

If you don't want any hard work and installation hassle, go ahead and use Mod Manager in the downloads section.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
