A special dragon with a special lost friend

A special dragon made for a special child who died.

On July 12, 2018, I lost my lovely lover and little bird friend R2. Just a few days ago, he became seriously ill and lost the use of his legs. He was a fighter and tried his best to keep himself in shape, but he died hiding in his cage that day. I made a dragon texture for him a while ago and I decided to release an updated version of it in honor of the parrot dragon I made for him. He was such an important and loved member of the family and it is difficult to get over his loss. He was such a sweet, loving soul with a big, great personality. We buried his favorite things in his backyard and a robin sat down and watched us as we buried him in it. We planted a rose bush for him and gave him a special stone and we still have to give him a plaque. I got him in 2012 during a tough time in my life and he helped me out. He meant so much to me and his death was so sudden and so small. His kind can live for 30 years, but sadly he is only 6 years old. While I don't believe in any religion, I do believe in God and the afterlife and I hope to see Him again one day and that He is watching over us. This morning I swear I heard his kisses and the squeaking of the iron bars of his cage. My sister had a dream, She saw my great-grandfather dying in our hall in the same house and in the same place as R2, caressed him, then nodded and left him. I hope this means he's okay. His kind can live for 30 years, but sadly he is only 6 years old.
