VIVID and CLASSIC
This mod provides a new set of highly detailed world map textures, including roads! This mod also adds a detailed Solsteim map. Best with the Clear Map Skies add-on.
The Vivid style is new in 9.0, featuring an updated look for the world map and larger, more detailed textures. It includes most roads (selected by IcePenguin art) and a detailed map of Solstheim. You can choose between Stone Roads, which show some cobblestones on the road on the map, and Flat Roads, which have a more earthy style. Vivid 9.0 includes an ESP file. To improve the overall look, IcePenguin added this to adjust the appearance of weather in the world map.
The Classic style is the version used in A Quality World Map 8.4 (April 2015), which includes the detailed Solstheim map. You can choose all roads or main roads. For all included options, use the 8.4 installer.
Paper

Since another mod may override this mod's necessary edits to the Tamriel world space, it is highly recommended to load it at the end of the plugin loading order.
Disable tilt/zoom controls when viewing paper maps. You can still pan the camera.

clear map sky
Use this add-on (VIVID and CLASSIC only) to remove all clouds from the center of the map, allowing a clear view of the world below. The clouds at the edge of the map are still there.
This file can also be used alone (without a quality world map) to remove the map cloud from the vanilla game.
This add-on is an improvement over the 8.4 "Clear" add-on, which could also incorrectly remove clouds from the game world. It is recommended that you use the standalone "CLEAR MAP SKIES 9.0" download for 8.4 Classic rather than the one bundled with the 8.4 installer.

Redundant with no fog on the world map. The Quality World Map plugin also removes map fog.
Paper Maps: Do not use the Clear Map Sky plugin for Quality World Maps, or any mod that modifies the map cloud using this mod. This is incompatible.
Compatible with other map marker mods.
Install and uninstall
It can be safely installed and uninstalled within the game.
Paper Map: After uninstalling, be sure to exit the game completely to restore your world map settings.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
