🎬 **An experimental cutscene replacement plug-in, bringing a new visual experience to "Hollow Knight: Silk Song"! **

✨ Features

I created a plugin that replaces in-game cutscenes with custom webm videos and recolored the video clips containing Bumblebee. This is primarily an experimental proof-of-concept project - it doesn't directly replace in-game cutscenes, but instead opens another in-game video player when a video of the same name is detected.

🚧 **Note**: Currently only the Bellbeast fast travel cutscene and opening animation are tested. Bellbeast may behave strangely sometimes, but it works fine 99% of the time on my end.

🎥 Video conversion settings

I successfully converted the video using the following ffmpeg settings (only webm format works):

**For 1:1 game cutscenes:**

**For custom videos with sound effects:**

💡 **Important Settings**: Find the PreferVideoAudio option in settings (press F1) and enable it.

📥 Installation Guide

• **Download BepInEx 5 and Configuration Manager** → Unzip to the game root directory → Run the game and exit (the BepInEx folder will appear at this time)

• **Download the CustomizerCinematic.zip plug-in** and put it in the following path:

`\Hollow Knight Silksong\BepInEx\plugins\CustomizerCinematic\CustomizerCinematic.dll`

• **Place VideoClip folder** to the following path:

`\Hollow Knight Silksong_Data\Mods\Customizer\\VideoClip\All .webm files`

(If the Mods/Customizer folder does not exist, please create it manually)

🗑️ Uninstall method

Simply delete the VideoClip folder from the Mods folder and the CustomizerCinematic plugin from the Plugins folder.

⚠️ Known issues

• **When skipping a video, the video will still play until the game starts** - Not yet resolved
• **Black screen after some cutscenes** - Can be fixed by going back to menu
