SpaceRefill
Spam Space while restocking shelves. Fill the draining meter to place one item, then do it again.
About this mod Author’s original text
Space Refill
A small BepInEx mod for Shift At Midnight that turns shelf restocking into a Space spamming mechanic.
Made by coddingcat.
How it works
- Interact with a shelf normally.
- A vertical white meter appears on the right side of the screen.
- The meter constantly drains.
- Press Space repeatedly to push it upward.
- Reaching the top places one item and resets the meter.
Faster tapping makes it easier to beat the drain, but every item still requires a full meter.
Configuration
The configuration file is created after the first launch:
BepInEx/config/com.coddingcat.shiftatm.spacerefill.cfg
| Setting | Default | Description |
| --- | ---: | --- |
| BoostPerPress | 0.12 | Amount added by one Space press. |
| DrainPerSecond | 0.50 | Amount removed from the meter each second. |
Higher boost and lower drain make restocking easier.
Installation
Mod manager
Install the package Mod Manager or r2modman, then launch the game through the manager.
Manual
- Install BepInEx.
- Copy SpaceRefillMod.dll into BepInEx/plugins/SpaceRefill.
- Start the game.
The BepInEx log should contain:
Space Refill v2.3.0 loaded.
Compatibility
- Built for the Windows IL2CPP version of Shift At Midnight.
- Tested against the game build released on July 22, 2026.
- No save files are modified.
If a game update changes the private shelf methods used by the mod, startup will fail with a clear compatibility error in BepInEx/LogOutput.log.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
