ShiftLobbyPlus
Unlocks the 3-player lobby cap in Shift At Midnight. Host lobbies with up to
8 players by default — configurable from 1 to 243.
Only the host needs this mod. Joining players install nothing.
Features
- "Max Players" dropdown in the lobby-creation screen extended from 1/2/3 to 1..N
- Removes every internal 3-player clamp (Steam lobby limit, Photon room limit,
Fusion simulation player slots — including the separate voice-chat room,
which is also capped at 3 in vanilla)
- Logs a session status line every 15 seconds to MelonLoader\Latest.log
(player count, cloud-confirmed room cap, per-player RTT) so you can verify
it is working
Installation
Install with a mod manager (recommended) — MelonLoader is pulled in
automatically as a dependency.
Manual install: install MelonLoader into the game first, then drop
Mods/ShiftLobbyPlus.dll into /Mods.
Always launch the game through Steam.
Configuration
After the first launch, edit /UserData/MelonPreferences.cfg:

Range 1–243 (243 is the Photon room protocol limit).
Notes
- The game was designed for 3 players. With more, spawn points, story scripts
or performance may misbehave — that is the game, not the mod.
- Tested working with 4+ players on retail v1.0.1.
- The mod only modifies your local client and the rooms you host.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
