GTFO – An Eviction Mod

Found the perfect apartment, but somebody already lives there? Show them the door.

Stand inside any apartment and press Alt+Y. The tenants are evicted, they pack up and leave, and the apartment is put up for sale through the game's own property market, ready for you to buy.

Features

  • One key press: Alt+Y evicts every tenant of the apartment you are standing in.
  • Instantly for sale: the apartment joins the game's for-sale listings right away, the same way vacant apartments normally do. If you use the Real Estate Cruncher App mod, it shows up in its City Hall list (8 per page, so check the next page).
  • Keep the furniture: buy an evicted apartment and everything the old tenants left behind is yours.
  • Tenants actually leave: evicted citizens stop treating the apartment as home and walk out.
  • Survives saving and loading: evictions are re-applied every time a save loads, so the old tenants never move back in.
  • On-screen feedback: a message confirms every eviction, or tells you why it was refused.

Safeguards

  • You cannot evict yourself from your own home or your hotel room.
  • Shops, offices, City Hall and other non-residential places are refused.
  • Apartments you have bought are never put back up for sale.

Notes

  • Evicted citizens become homeless. Some linger for a few minutes before they give up and leave.
  • Evictions are remembered per city in BepInEx/tenant-eviction-store.txt. All saves in the same city share them. Delete that file to forget every eviction (the original tenants return on the next load).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
  3. For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.

Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
