Module for freely sheathing/drawing the sword in "Sekiro"

Sekiro Sheath Mode 2

🎮 **Freely control the retraction and withdrawal state of the katana**

✨ Core Functions

  • Switch the display state of the katana by pressing the down arrow key
  • Allow your character to freely choose the position of sheathing or drawing the sword
  • Simple and direct rendering state switching

🎯 Instructions for use

Place the DLL file into the "Sekiro" game folder (the same directory as sekiro.exe), and then start the game normally.

🔧 Notes for ModEngine users

If you use ModEngine's dinput8 proxy:

  • Requires DLL chain loading to be enabled
  • Set chainDInput8DLLPath in modengine.ini to your DLL file path (SheathMode.dll)

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE

  • This module does not include the knife sheathing animation, your knife will be transferred directly to the scabbard or hand
  • This is an experimental project for entertainment and research purposes only
  • Developed entirely by reverse engineering the Sekiro binaries

💡 **Usage Suggestions**: This module allows you to keep your sword closed while exploring, making it more natural when taking photos, or just to show off your samurai style!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
