About this mod Machine translation
Eliminate loud or annoying sound effects. Also included is a guide on how to make your own custom sound module, with the option to remove a host of other sound effects.
Several variations of this mod are available for various combinations of the following features:
Remove Deathblow (Part): Removes the loud, harsh parts of Death.
Remove Deathblow (all) and Guard Breaks: Remove deathblow and Guard break sounds completely. Remove sounds when using ninjutsu technology.
Removed enemy warning: Removed the sound when an enemy becomes hostile.
Removed Attack Warning: Removed the sound when an enemy is about to use a strong attack.
More options
This mod includes options to remove many other annoying or unnecessary sounds. I've uploaded a DIY pack with helpful resources, as well as an easy-to-follow guide on how to remove sound effects manually. The DIY pack also includes a bunch of additional sound effects, which I plan to continue updating in the future. This can be used to easily remove sounds that are not included in this mod's main file, create your own custom sound module, or merge the functionality of this mod with another sound mod.
It's all very easy, even if you have no previous modding experience!
Install
Simply extract the .zip archive and move the sounds folder into Mod Engine's mods folder.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
