Sekiro Mod Manager

🎮 **Powerful module management tool specially created for "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice"**

---

🚀 Usage requirements

  • Requires installation of **Microsoft Visual Studio C++ Redistributables**
  • It is recommended to install the 2015 version. If it does not work, you can try the 2017 and 2019 versions.
  • Only supports modules used with modengine, in .zip or .rar format

---

⚡ Core Functions

📦 Module Management

  • **Installation** - Install the module to the Sekiro game directory
  • **Uninstall** - removes the mod from the game directory
  • **+** - Add mods to the manager
  • **-** - Remove the mod from the manager (will not uninstall automatically)

👥 Configuration file

Use modengine's "modOverrideDirectory" option to quickly enable and disable multiple mods:

  • Create different game style configurations (such as "Easy Mode", "Hard Mode")
  • Switch between different module combinations with one click
  • No need to repeatedly install and uninstall modules
  • The currently active profile is displayed in the lower right corner of the window

🎁Modpack support

Processing archives containing multiple modules:

  • Automatically identify and install each module in the module pack
  • No need to manually unzip and repack
  • The name of the installed module will be appended with the module package name

---

🛠️ Installation Guide

  • Unzip the zip file
  • Start the program
  • Select the Sekiro installation directory

⚠️ **Note**: Sekiro Game must be installed, otherwise the program will continue to ask for directory selection

---

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE

🔍 Special case handling

When processing a module that contains a file with the same name (such as font.gfx), the program will display a prompt that requires:

  • Check the mod page to confirm the folder where the files should be placed
  • Select the correct folder from the drop-down menu

📁 File overwriting

  • When installing multiple modules that modify the same files, they will overwrite each other.
  • Modules that contain the same files in their configuration files will also overwrite each other

🖥️ Interface adjustment

If checkboxes and other UI elements are too large:

  • Go into Windows display settings
  • Resize text, apps and other items to 100%

---

💡 **Tip**: If you add or remove mods by other means, please make sure to synchronize the operation in the manager to avoid a mismatch between the actual installation and the manager record.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
