📥 Installation Guide
**IMPORTANT**: This is an older version of ReShade, you cannot drag presets directly into the latest version of ReShade.
**Installation steps**:
- Make sure there are no other versions of ReShade in the game folder
- Drag and drop the downloaded file contents into the `/Sekiro/` folder
- Use the "Scroll Lock" key to switch the ReShade effect
⚙️ Custom settings
**Adjust color difference effect**:
If you don't like the chromatic aberration (fisheye lens) effect, you can:
**Completely closed**:
- Find `ReShade/Presets/Default/Shaders_by_MartyMcFly.cfg`
- Change `#define USE_FISHEYE_CA 1` to `#define USE_FISHEYE_CA 0`
**Weakened effect**:
- Adjust the value of `#define fFisheyeColorshift -0.005`
- The closer the value is to 0, the weaker the chromatic aberration effect.
🛠️ Troubleshooting
**Game startup crash solution**:
- Windows 7 users may need a platform update
- Try changing `dxgi.dll` to `d3d11.dll`
- Turn off the FPS monitoring software running in the background
- Disable Steam overlay, MSI Afterburner and other programs

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
