Faded Realism ReShade

🎮 **Latest update! **

Faded Realism has now been updated to ReShade 5.4.2 (the latest version). As always, it includes the ReShade files, so there's no need to reinstall ReShade before installing my preset. Two preset versions, v1 and v2, are now available.

✨ Default version description

📋 **Version Features:**

  • **v1**: Original Faded Realism, shader loading order optimized
  • **v2**: A more faded visual effect than v1, if the v1 effect is too subtle
  • **RTGI Presets**: Provided separately for v1 and v2. These presets do not contain RTGI shader files, only instructions for using RTGI. You need to have RTGI and copy-paste it into the "reshade-shaders" folder. Please use **RTGI 0.33 or newer**

⚙️ Installation settings

🔧 **IMPORTANT NOTE:**

During the installation process, please turn off SSAO, Depth of Field Blur, and Anti-Aliasing in the game menu. Other settings can be adjusted to personal preference. The brightness can also be set however you like, I usually set it to maximum.

🌟 Module Features

Think the colors in Sekiro are too bright? This ReShade preset will tone down the color saturation while applying other visual effects to enhance the game's native graphics and add a rougher look.

⚠️ **Performance Warning:**

This preset is not performance friendly. Recommended for users with Nvidia RTX graphics cards or any AMD equivalent graphics card. This preset also uses special effects that add physics (not just shaders that change pixel colors), so you may get some weird effects like transparent UI or weird flickering on loading screens. This is completely normal and is just a limitation of ReShade as a post-processing injector.

🎯 **Recommended usage scenarios:**

Best for those crazy ninjas who like to record HUD-less game footage for later video editing!

🎮 Usage suggestions

This module is especially suitable for players who pursue a cinematic gaming experience, and can bring a more immersive visual experience to "Sekiro". It is recommended to use it with high-end hardware to get the best results!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
