Sekiro Enemy and Item Randomizer

🎮 **Compatibility Note**: This module is basically compatible with the v1.06 version of "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice", but does not support rematch and consecutive battle modes.

🌟 Module Features

This is a comprehensive enemy and item randomizer that brings a whole new gaming experience to Sekiro!

  • **Enemy Randomization**: All enemies, bosses and elite enemies will be randomly replaced
  • **Item Randomization**: including random distribution of key items, skills and props
  • **Game Progress Logic**: Keep the game passable and avoid soft locks

🎯 IMPORTANT NOTICE

Notes on item randomization

  • The first castle invasion will be triggered when you obtain the Immortal Slash, Dragon Yin Stone and Palace Lotus
  • Even if you are not able to dive, you can enter the castle through the gate of Ashina Castle Water Storage Area
  • You can enter the Hirata mansion without a prosthetic hand: run and jump to grab the branches (refer to the video)

Notes on enemy randomization

  • Game progression mechanics will be applied to replaced enemies
  • Armored Samurai will now fall from any edge that the game considers a floor collision

📥 Installation Guide

  • Download Sekiro Randomizer and the latest Sekiro Mod Engine
  • Place the randomizer directory directly into the directory where Sekiro.exe is located
  • Install Mod Engine and copy dinput8.dll and modengine.ini to the game directory
  • Modify modOverrideDirectory="\\randomizer" in modengine.ini
  • Merge enemy sound effects files or use UXM to unpack the game

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
