Simple Labels
Add custom text labels to storage units and crafting stations so you can see at a glance what's where. Labels also show on your clipboard, so your production line stays clear and organized without breaking immersion. Works with all station types and storage closet variants, with a clean, in-game look that fits Schedule I.
Features
- Custom labels on any storage or station (including mushroom spawn and all closet variants)
- Labels on the clipboard for a clear overview of your setup
- Per-save labels – each save has its own labels; no mixing between games
- Color options with auto-color based on contents
- Multiplayer support – labels can sync between players (optional; see below)
- Mod Manager – tweak settings in-game via the Mod Manager app or in UserData/MelonPreferences.cfg
Requirements
- MelonLoader (installed automatically as a dependency if you use the mod manager)
Installation
Recommended: Install with r2modman (or another Schedule I mod manager that supports ). It will install Simple Labels and MelonLoader for you.
Manual: If you install manually, place the mod in your game's Mods folder and ensure MelonLoader is installed for Schedule I.
Optional
- SteamNetworkLib – For multiplayer label sync. Install it separately and place SteamNetworkLib-IL2Cpp.dll in your game's UserLibs folder (not Mods). Without it, the mod works normally in single-player.
- Mod Manager & Phone App – For easier in-game settings (install or if you use it).
What's New (v2.2.1)
- Per-save labels – labels are stored with each save; different games keep their own labels
- Clipboard fix – custom labels now show correctly on station output fields (mixing machine, press, packaging, etc.) when "Show stations output" is enabled

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
