About this mod Author’s original text
OTC 0.4.6 Phone Fix - IL2CPP
An unofficial compatibility patch for OverTheCounter 2.0.10 running on Schedule I v0.4.6 IL2CPP.
What It Fixes
- Contacts App Failing to Open: Clicking the Contacts icon on the in-game phone failed to open the Contacts app.
- Persistent Contacts Overlay: The customer relationship tree remained visible on screen and blocked other phone apps such as Messages and Products.
- Broken App Switching: Resolved app container state stranding when switching between Contacts, Messages, and Products.
Cause
OverTheCounter 2.0.10 includes an IL2CPP compatibility patch (ContactsAppFix.SetOpen_EnsureExitListener) that targets an internal Exit method signature (App.Exit(ExitAction)). In Schedule I v0.4.6 IL2CPP, this internal signature changed, causing a System.MissingMethodException whenever the phone's SetOpen method executed.
This exception aborted SetOpen(true) before the Contacts app could open, while leaving the Contacts UI container stranded over other active phone screens.
What This Patch Does
- Unpatches Obsolete Exit Prefix: Safely removes OTC's SetOpen_EnsureExitListener prefix during initialization while keeping all unrelated OverTheCounter patches active and intact.
- Enforces Invariant Container State:
- When Contacts is closed (SetOpen(false)), ensures the Contacts UI container is deactivated so it never blocks Messages or Products.
- When Contacts is opened (SetOpen(true)), ensures the Contacts UI container is active so the customer relationship tree opens and renders cleanly.
Requirements
- Schedule I: Current stable build v0.4.6 (v0.4.6f11) IL2CPP branch
- MelonLoader: 0.7.3
- OverTheCounter: 2.0.10
Note: This patch targets the IL2CPP build only. The legacy Mono/Steam alternate branch is not supported.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
