About this mod Author’s original text
Illegal Rave
Igor throws an illegal rave at night. Somewhere in the city, once the clock hits 04:00,
the lights come on, the fog rolls in and the NPCs start dancing.
What it does
- Igor texts you. A message at 23:00 tells you where tonight's rave happens,
a reminder follows five minutes before it starts.
- Your own music. Drop WAV or MP3 files into UserData/Rave. They are shuffled
and played back to back, endlessly. The vanilla game music is muted near the party.
- Three locations. Parking lot, underground tunnel and a small forest clearing.
A random one is picked each night, or you save up to three spots of your own.
- Dancing crowd. Nearby NPCs are gathered and dance with five different
routines, changing expressions and gestures. Police and dealers stay out of it.
- A DJ on stage. Book DJ Dan, DJ Ginger, Cut Chemist or Big Pimpin through Igor.
The parking lot gets a full festival stage with a lit DJ booth and PA stacks.
- Compass waypoint. Points to the rave from up to 300 m away, with a distance label.
Requirements
- Schedule I (tested against 0.4.6f13)
- MelonLoader 0.7.x, IL2CPP
Install
- Install MelonLoader.
- Drop IllegalRave.IL2CPP.dll into the Mods folder.
- Put some WAV or MP3 files into UserData/Rave. Without them the rave still
runs, just without music.
Settings
Everything is configured through MelonPreferences, category Illegal Rave: Settings.
The interesting ones:
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| SmallFestivalStageEnabled | true | Full festival stage, parking lot only |
| MusicVolume | 0.5 | Volume of the rave music |
| PresetTriggerChanceEnabled | false | 30 percent chance per night instead of every night |
| CustomRaveLocation | 0 | 0 picks a random preset, 1 to 3 use your saved spots |
| RaveStartTime | 400 | When the rave starts, as HHMM |
Save your own spots through Igor: walk to a place you like and use the
"Save Rave Location" button in his conversation.
Notes
- Single DLL, no extra files. All 3D models are embedded and compressed.
- Everything is cleaned up when the rave ends: NPC schedules, deals, navigation
and animations are restored.
- Works in single player. Multiplayer is untested.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
