Rental Cars
Rent vehicles from your phone for a limited duration.
Made using the v0.4.4 Open Beta, but should still work for the v0.4.3 game version.
Features
- Adds a Rentals app to phone
- Auto-return after rental duration expires
- Manual return button in the app
Installation
- Install MelonLoader for Schedule I.
- Copy the correct DLL into your Mods folder:
- Mono: RentalCars_Mono.dll
- IL2CPP: RentalCars_IL2CPP.dll
- Launch the game once to generate MelonPreferences entries.
- Adjust config values as desired.
Configuration
enabled - Enables/disables the mod
rentalDurationHours - Rental duration in hours (default: 10)
rentalCostMultiplier - Vehicle price multiplier for rental fee (default: 0.08)
minimumRentalFee - Minimum rental fee floor (default: 50)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
