FAQ

I can't see bullet particles on my background!

Make it a bit transparrent, some good values are

  • R: 212
  • G: 212
  • B: 212
  • A: 128

My transparent image turned into a silhouette!

Loading images with transparency (the 'A' channel) lower than 128 do this. I have no idea why.

Weird shadows/collision

The shadows are determined by the collision, and Unity generates collision based on the texture. If the texture has a low resolution (like with pixel art), Unity will generate lower-resolution collision. It's a pain, but the solution is to upscale the image to a higher resolution or create the collision manually using invisible objects.

How do I share my maps?

Here's a good place to learn. But the gist is to zip up all your maps together with a manifest, readme and an icon, then upload.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.

Dependencies

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
