Module introduction
Metro Mod Loader is a dedicated module loading and management tool for "Road to Vostok", designed based on the Godot 4.6 engine. It runs before the game is launched, providing complete mod lifecycle management.

- **Update Detection**: Automatically check whether installed Mods have new versions
- **Malware Scanning**: Built-in security detection to reduce the risk of third-party Mods
- **Automatic Crash Recovery**: Record the configuration before the crash and support one-click restoration
- Supports .zip and .vmz formats
- Open source projects: GitHub
Installation method
- Download the Metro Mod Loader ZIP and extract it to the game root directory
- Place the required Mod files into the game mods folder
- Start the game through Mod Loader and manage Mods in the pre-start interface
- Different Mod combinations can be saved and switched through the configuration file function
Notes
- This tool is a Mod loader and has no actual effect when used alone.
- If you encounter compatibility issues, please ensure that the Mod Loader is the latest version (currently v3.1.1)
- If the crash recovery function cannot be restored, you can manually clear the mods folder to troubleshoot the problem.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
