Custom radio stations for Roadside Research. Drop your music files into the Music folder and they appear as new stations on in-game radios.

Supported Formats

  • WAV (.wav)
  • MP3 (.mp3)
  • OGG Vorbis (.ogg)

Usage

  • Install the mod via your mod manager
  • Place audio files in BepInEx/plugins/RadioLib/Music/
  • Launch the game — your files appear as a "Custom Music" station

Organizing Stations

Create subfolders inside Music/ to make separate stations:

Music/

Rock/

song1.mp3

song2.ogg

Chill/

ambient.wav

lofi.mp3

Each subfolder becomes its own named radio station.

Multiplayer (v1.2+)

Only the host needs to have audio files. When a client connects:

  • The host sends a manifest of its stations and sha256 hashes of each track.
  • The client requests any files it doesn't already have cached.
  • Once files arrive they're saved to BepInEx/plugins/RadioLib/Cache/ so the next session doesn't re-download them.
  • The host drives track selection so everyone hears the same song.

Clients still need the RadioLib mod installed (but not any music files). Files are capped at 20 MB each to keep transfers reasonable.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
  3. For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.

Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
