Rare Devotion Eggs
Rare Devotion Eggs adds a small configurable chance for classic purchasable broken drones to spawn as Lemurian Eggs during normal runs.
The goal is simple: you can occasionally find a Lemurian Egg without needing to enable the Artifact of Devotion.
Features
- Adds a configurable chance for eligible drone spawns to become Lemurian Eggs.
- Works in normal runs.
- Works in Eclipse by default.
- Does not require the Artifact of Devotion.
- Does not replace every drone.
- Does not affect chests, shrines, printers, turrets, or Equipment Drones.
Default Behavior
By default, each eligible classic broken drone spawn has a 5% chance to become a Lemurian Egg.
Eligible spawns are classic purchasable broken drones, such as normal drone-type interactables.
Equipment Drones and turrets are intentionally excluded.
Config
The config file is generated after launching the game once with the mod installed:

Default values:

Chance for an eligible classic drone spawn to become a Lemurian Egg.
0.05 = 5%
EggChance = 0.05
Allows Lemurian Eggs to appear in Eclipse runs.
EnableInEclipse = true
If false, this mod will not apply its replacement logic while the Artifact of Devotion is active.
EnableWhenDevotionArtifactActive = false
Notes
This mod does not enable the Artifact of Devotion. It only allows rare Lemurian Egg spawns to appear naturally in normal gameplay.
If you want to test whether the mod is working, set:
EggChance = 1.0
Then every eligible drone spawn should become a Lemurian Egg. After testing, set it back to your preferred value.
Installation
Install through a -compatible mod manager such as r2modman or Mod Manager.
Manual installation:
- Install BepInExPack for Risk of Rain 2.
- Place RareDevotionEggs.dll in a folder inside BepInEx/plugins.
- Launch the game once to generate the config.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
