MyCustomSoundtrack
A custom soundtrack with multiple songs for each stage.
About this mod Author’s original text
This mod, as you can probably guess from the title, is a custom soundtrack for Risk of Rain 2. I used the MetroidSoundtrack mod by ApollyMods as a base, which in turn used the OriginalSoundtrack by Kyle as a base. Those mods included descriptions on how to make your own soundtracks, and I'd rather not just copy and paste what they said, so I'll leave the links to both. If you want to make your own soundtrack, just follow their instructions.
I had gone back and forth in debating whether or not to upload this mod since it was originally just for me to enjoy, but I figured what the hell. If there's a chance anyone is even remotely interested in my somewhat mish-mash of different songs from different games, then I'll just upload it.
Bear in mind that this soundtrack isn't necessarily complete. I don't have the SOTV DLC, so I haven't yet bothered adding any custom songs for those stages. This is mainly because I have no way of testing it, and I don't want something to randomly go wrong for those stages. This means that Siphoned Forest, Aphelian Sanctuary, Sulfur Pools, the Void Locus, and the Planetarium all lack specific songs. As a result, they will have songs chosen completely at random from the song list. If you want to change this, you're more than welcome to edit the settings.xml to do so, but you might want to read the rest of the description in regards to that as I have something that may or may not affect that.
While I haven't yet added songs for the DLC stages, I'd love to eventually if I ever end up purchasing it (which, considering how much I like RoR2, it's a wonder why I haven't already). If/when I do, I'll likely update this mod with a new settings.xml that includes songs for the stages I missed. I also hope to eventually add custom songs for the Fogbound Lagoon stage mod. I tried already, but despite putting in the stage ID correctly in the settings.xml, it still picks songs randomly. I'll figure it out someday, but for now, if you want to use this mod, you'll have to either disable Fogbound Lagoon or suffer the curse of random stage music.
Speaking of updates, aside from those stages, I'm not entirely satisfied just yet with the songs I've chosen. Some feel a bit out of place (Armored Armadillo's theme for Abyssal Depths), some don't loop properly (Venom theme in Scorched Acres), some are too quiet (Duff McWhalen's theme in Siren's Call), and some scenarios don't have enough tracks (The Stage 1 boss only has one song to choose from). I'll probably be updating all these and more for myself personally, but I'll also update this mod as well when I do it. I'll keep a running list of songs and when they can play down below so you can see what I've added, removed, or rearranged. Since I'll also be editing the settings.xml when I do this, it might be a bad idea to do so yourself unless you don't plan on keeping this mod updated.
With all of that out of the way, below are the songs as they will play in the game. Note that when there are multiple songs listed for a single stage, the game will chose one randomly every time you load into the level. Stages that are blank are ones that I haven't yet added music for, and will pick randomly from the entire list of songs. There are some songs in the folder that are unused, but can still be randomly picked by stages with no songs. I also have plans for a few songs, either for DLC or Fogbound Lagoon, so those will be listed as well and marked as In Progress to show they're not yet implemented.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
